Sydney Matulewicz, PT, DPT, ATC, joined Architech Sports after earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from High Point University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at East Carolina University in 2017, where she worked hands-on with a variety of athletes, managing rehabilitation both on and off the field. A lifelong soccer player, Sydney tore her ACL three times during her athletic career and always found a way to return to the sport she loved. Those experiences inspired her passion for helping athletes recover, prevent injuries, and reach their highest potential. She leads the Female Athlete University program at Architech Sports — a comprehensive initiative focused on educating, empowering, and elevating female athletes in the Charlotte community. In 2023, she stepped into the role of Vice President of PT Development, where she mentors and trains fellow physical therapists in becoming Athletic Performance Therapists. Sydney believes in the power of servant leadership and the lasting impact the profession can have on people’s lives. One of her favorite books to share with aspiring clinicians is The Butterfly Effect. Outside of work, Sydney enjoys traveling, camping, and tackling house projects with her husband and their dog. She’s also a dedicated endurance athlete who loves participating in running races and triathlons.
