The Main Event is built on years of running high-level camps and tournaments that bring athletes and college coaches together. Through long-standing relationships with college coaches and ongoing conversations about what they need to evaluate players, we understand what they are looking for, what questions they ask, and what truly separates the next recruiting class. Our goal is simple: combine elite development with real recruiting exposure in one place, and give athletes a clearer path to stand out on and off the field. This is the next step for Diamond Direction and CONNECT Camps, and what we believe is the next thing in our sport.

Nate Eaton

Event Director

Nate leads the vision behind The Main Event and is the Co-Founder of Diamond Direction, a premier organization dedicated to creating exceptional recruiting opportunities for softball athletes. Through PROSPECTS Camps and CONNECT Camps, he has years of experience hosting high-level events and continues working to provide incredible opportunities for female athletes. He is dedicated to securing college softball coaches that care about teaching and love working hard to help female athletes grow in the game. With a passion for elevating the recruiting experience, Nate has built Diamond Direction into a trusted platform that connects athletes with college coaches and maximizes their exposure.

Drawing on his extensive background in sports management and player development, Nate is committed to hosting top-tier tournaments, camps, and events for athletes who aspire to compete at the highest level. He communicates regularly with travel ball coaches looking to help their athletes have the best opportunities, and is dedicated to improving each event year after year. His innovative approach and dedication to athlete success have helped countless players advance their skills and achieve their goals on and off the field. Nate works tirelessly to partner with the best college coaches at all their exposure events so your daughter can leave each event happy she came and excited about her recruiting journey.

Ed Hatch

Operations

Ed is the Co-Founder of Diamond Direction and oversees the operational execution of The Main Event. Known for running high-caliber softball tournaments and camps, Ed ensures that each event offers unparalleled communication, competition, and organization—making them a must-attend for athletes and teams alike. With a deep commitment to helping players and teams grow within the game, Ed strives to provide an experience that keeps participants coming back year after year. His dedication to quality and helping athletes in their recruiting journey has made Diamond Direction a trusted name in the softball community, where athletes know their time and effort will be well spent after attending one of our events. Ed is passionate about hosting quality tournaments where coaches and athletes do not have to worry about any details, and he continues to orchestrate incredible softball tournaments.

Jordan Hatch

Operations Coordinator

Jordan is the Operations Manager for Diamond Direction and is also coordinating operations for The Main Event. She oversees the scheduling, staffing, and logistics for CONNECT camps, working closely with coaches and staff to create a seamless experience for athletes and their families. Jordan manages vendor relationships for facilities, equipment, and supplies, while also overseeing hospitality and safety planning to support the efficient flow of camps.

As a former Division I college softball player at East Carolina University, Jordan brings firsthand knowledge of the game and a passion for supporting athletes as they showcase their skills, learn, and grow. She is committed to creating meaningful recruiting opportunities for younger athletes and fostering an environment that promotes their success both on and off the field.

MC Eaton

Social Media Coordinator

MC Eaton leads The Main Event’s social media, helping athletes, families, and coaches stay informed and excited leading up to the event and throughout the weekend. As the Visual Marketing Specialist for Diamond Direction and CONNECT Camps, she plays a key role in shaping the brand’s online presence and keeping messaging consistent across platforms.

Her creative eye and marketing expertise shine through in Diamond Direction’s visual storytelling as she crafts compelling social media content. MC’s strategic approach to branding and audience engagement helps elevate the visibility of Diamond Direction while reflecting its mission to provide the best possible recruiting experience for softball players. Through her work, she connects with the softball community year-round and brings the Diamond Direction vision to life—both behind the scenes and on the screen.

Top Gun Events is the Managing Partner of The Main Event.
